Re: A little toe-dip into colour!
I am sorry that you take umbrage from my genuine attempt to make a point about your works in this thread being misled by your comment about taking "a little toe-tip into colour".
I am suprised and amused that you use the 'majority' argument against me as one whose work is rather individualistic .... that rather than a sycophantic comment I explained my feelings.
#8 looks like a washed out B&W on my monitor but since it is uncalibrated I these days hold back in commenting ... there maybe colour there but I don't see any.
YES I would be interested to know what ISO and f/stop you use.
I answer to both Photo Nut and jcuknz and have so many entries on Google, I gave up around page ten, it is not very hard to know who I am after years of using jcuknz .... when I looked with my birth-name it was around page five before I found an entry relating to me ... much sooner I came across a professional photographer in the UK of my name so better for me to use what I do.

If the warm colour were on the right it might answer your disquiet but it would ruin my picture and since your disquiet doesn't seem to be shared by anyone else I think I'll just leave it as it is!
As you say my work isn't 'your thing'( which is just dandy!) but as you are interested in my use of colour I am most surprised to see you refer to my B&W version because it plainly isn't in B&W...there are blues and purples and yellow tones in there.
As for the ROT, well rules are for guidance and I respect them but if we were hog bound by them all the time then photography and other art forms would simply atrophy and that cannot be a good thing.
Re: A little toe-dip into colour!
I knew you were an artist and the camera presented another medium for your work to shine through.
Re: A little toe-dip into colour!
Very nice work, Sharon. I like the fact that the image is comprised of very basic color elements that, seen together, are very pleasing to the eye.

Says it all really.
James, thank you for your comment. I make less mess with the camera..well, most of the time. :)
Marie, so glad you like it and feel the colour elements are pleasing to your eye. :)

Beautiful. I love the full colour version - its says a person in an art gallery to me which the more monochrome image loses.
