They're pretty amazing if you haven't seen them before. I'm pretty ham-fisted with mine still, and yet when I give kids a demo quite often the first reaction as I flip it upside down and climb aggressively is "HOLY SHIIIIIIIIIIIII ...."

Remarkable how fast the R/C hangar can fill! I fly fixed wing aircraft and find it absolutely amazing what people can do with the helicopters. I've tried some photography of models in flight, mostly sailplane launches off a winch, and found it really difficult to get a decent image. Typically my shutter speeds were too slow or the exposure and direction of the shot resulted in a rather boring silhouette image. The good thing is that I'm actually beginning to recognize the mistakes.....but any advice will be appreciated.

Ha - we should say what SOME people can do with helicopters!
Best photographic advice I can give is: aperture wide open - high shutterspeed - and keep the sun behind you (so you're not shooting into it).
