I think every culture/language has a similar saying. And yet most people can't seem to grasp it. It seems that our arrogance can blind us to even the most obvious truths. Humility is prerequisite to enlightenment and therefore to a peaceful soul.

Yes, Dan The Ancient Wisdom has similar statements irrespective where it was delivered; only few follow the content of such statements every where; as you have pointed out humility is a prerequisite for any spiritual advancement

Sandy this week we had a flower show in the town and all the flower images now i am posting are captured from there only. All the thre images posted are orchids of various kinds;

As your responded, society is not supportive to all alike; so it is better believe one to be a hero unto him/her-self. of course need not be easy
