Fresh baked food porn

Last week I was sit in the dining room, late afternoon. Then I saw some sunlight coming from the living room window onto the dining table. I thought "This is good light for the blueberry muffins".

This was the muffin on the on my first setting.

When I showed the picture to my wife she was not enthusiastic and replied "I had something different in mind".

Anyway I don't think the image is too bad. What do you guys think?

Don't be upset that wives are good at that. It's built into their genes.

I like the image, though not because it does a particularly good job of selling the muffin. The cutting board, background and wrapper are probably too dominant to properly sell the muffin.

The floating food in the "Turkey" photo doesn't work at all for me. Food needs to have context. It needs to be grounded on at least one side of the frame and it has to be sitting on something that has shape, texture, complementary colors or all of the above.
