Re: Washed out sky - using LR4 to resolve
Hi Paul
Funnily enough I 'discovered' the adjustment brush at the weekend and have played a little with it; thanks to Scott Kelby's book I have to say. I'm going to try what you've suggested when I have more time later on in the week and will let you know how I got on :-)

There is a simply superb tutorial video for LR 4 by George Jardine, called THE DEVELOP MODULE. Available on Amazon. Best all-round LR video I've seen to date, and perfect for anyone just getting started with LR

A search for lightroom on youtube came up with 22,000 odd results. It's much the same with any package. Many of them will be tutorials.

Just trying to narrow the search from 22,000, many of which are mediocre, to ONE that I know is well worth the time and very modest cost. I confess I dont understand the point here

Just that there is that option. Nothing else really. Some tutorials on there are poor some are good.
I suspect I posted it because I have noticed a number of questions that can't easily be answered in a forum and often info can be found that way that will at least give some one a start.

The vast majority of the LR tutorial videos are free. Some free clips are done by pros and some by markedly more amateur photographers. I have been equally impressed by both, actually. With the free short clips, you can be sure that it will answer your specific question either by the title, or by simply spending the 3-4 minutes to watch it. If you purchase a big full-length video on LR, you won't be able to tell whether it addresses your particular question or not until you buy it.
Small tip: You get more results if you search Google Videos, and not just YouTube. A search in Videos on Google gives you everything in the world, including what is on YouTube.

I still rate this as one of the best tutorial sites for both Lightroom and Photoshop. JK is an Adobe evangelist when all is said and done.

Thanks, Kevin, it sounds just what I need - but it's not available in the UK (certainly not on Amazon). I don't know why Amazon seem to be a bit behind. Perhaps I should bite the bullet, order from the US and pay the postage!
