Many thanks for the offer Colin, and there may very well come a time I'll need some help. :o At the

my first DSLR. I'll be starting a thread soon in the proper forum to get some advise from those of

Re: Members - Point us to your website here!
Well thank you -
My website is at www.kevinmarston.com
It is due for a reshuffle in the next couple of months.
Re: Members - Point us to your website here!
Well after replacing the photo gallery software on my web host and trawling through the 30,000 of photos accumulated so far, its now up and running. There is still more to tweak, but the core features are now working.
Please see www.thecove.org.uk
Primarily landscapes, architecture and lizards with a section for projects from my work. I should mention that I have only just upgraded from my Canon IXUS i5 (which incidentally if you are looking for a very simple point and shoot with cheap water proof case - Canon ones now go for about ten pound new on ebay) to a canon 550D, but limited to my 1960s Zenit M42 lenses.
Enjoy.
David

And some very strong images ot go in it!
Re: Members - Point us to your website here!
Well a small group of ruffians from CiC convinced me to set up a Flickr account. This is very useful because it means I get to steal Katy's puppy pictures and still get to call Rob a Welsh git...how cool is that.
I have spend a desultory afternoon picking my nails, pulling faces at the local urchins and waiting for my photos to upload. I am nowhere near done but since i was beginning to consider taking my own life with an Apple Mighty Mouse and a pair of blunt nail clippers I have decided to post it here as it stands
The Wirefox's Flickr
I do have a question though. I have noticed that many Flickr members get approximately 658,987 views and 30,945 comments per image - and thats just for an out of focus shot of aunty Flo jiving at Darren and Julie's wedding. So how do you get people to view your images...bribery, threats, restyle yourself Rob Marshall or is it by joining groups and clever use of keywords.

Stop being such a good photographer whose work is beyond the understanding of those who post images of Aunty Flo jiving and who don't have the vocabulary to comment upon it - other than to say WOW. God, I'm such a snob!
Re: Members - Point us to your website here!
Hah hah so the fact that I produce bad photographs that nobody understands could be a problem if I want to be popular on Flickr:D. I can cut heads off and totally cock the exposure up in creative way I suppose - I would be popular - but would I be true to the inner artist:rolleyes:. Oh its too much bother, I will continue with the unintelligible digitalised dog vomit and sign myself as Billy No Mates on Flickr.

No, a man who has a glass of red in his website profile pic, doth not a snob make. :)

Steve,
If the interestingness quotient of your photos doesn't land you on the Explore pages within 24 hours and earn you hundreds of fans within the month, I'll--I'll--I'll--okay, I'll reach for the obvious--I'll eat my hats.

But then what will happen to Paris fashion week? Katy said we were going to get to see new airplanes.

You are definitely on my Christmas card list Janis but I suspect you will need to ketchup to go with those hats:)

Absolutely, its when they waft it under their noses as if they are checking a suspect babies nappy and swill it around their gobs like a Listerine wash pronouncing that it has a bouquet of slightly scorched sandal wood with a a hint of hedgerow raspberry underlying the sharp aftertaste of Wayne Rooney's socks that gets on my t*ts:D
Oh and for those of you that did, thank you for viewing my Flickr and leaving comments. It looks less lonesome now and the tumble weed has moved on.
Re: Members - Point us to your website here!

I think so too ! The work is superb ! At the highest level... :)
When I look at this I realize how much I don't know :o (in other words how ignorant I am) and ask myself what was/am I doing in a thread like the huge "Landscapes", former "Landscapes, please post them here":rolleyes:
I know for some time ago now, that 1x has many excellent and exquisite photographers. :)
I tried to post one of his photos but I couldn't :(
Congratulations Yan Zhang for you work !
