Hi Pete,

Sorry - I missed your post before now :( - It's winter here and that was taken about 3/4 hour after sunset - pretty chilly!

In terms of colour temperature, the I pretty much ran with what the camera suggested - it's somewhat under-exposed (mood shot) so the colours look very saturated, and the lighting on the side of the wharf comes from sodium lighting (off memory).

Ok, I'm in. :)

I reckon - look what happened to me last month - beaten into 2nd place by one of my protégés. Indeed, I fear that the student has become the master! And to make things even worse, this Alis guy has gotten really good too!

Thanks, Dave. Honestly, I think I have a very good camera and lens collection too! That part I agree is unfair, at least to the Nikonians...:p
