Re: Tethered shooting with Nikon D5000
I was just wondering which type of cable to get to tether with d5000 to HP laptop? Is it just a plain ole usb cable that goes into the computer and the other end the kind that goes into the camera? thanks so much been wanting to do this but don't know what to buy.

AFAIK, the cable is included with the camera, and plugs in the USB port.
On the camera, it's the same hookup as for the the cable release.
Thanks for all the input - I took some tethetered and some hand held pictures during our Christma Party, and everything worked out fine.

Thanks, looks like this is the wat to go!

tether tools sell a variety of cables, some at 3 metres
