YOU may not think that....But I have millions(not really) of pictures that are horrible horrible...composition - color - shadows.... I really struggle there! So many different settings and many that look okay on my display on the camera - then get on the computer and I see that they actually "suck" augh!
Ah but you see, YOU know which ones are worth posting, so that's a good start in my book.
And we all take far too many and have that 'augh' feeling in front of the computer.
I'm glad that even the best of you have that feeling too!
I'm bringing my laptop next time we head up north - then I will know what it really looks like and can go reshoot - well some of them I can...like our stone building etc. I will get some of those posted too soon. A Sweedish man did incredible work up there, unfortunately after his passing the next owners did not keep it up. We are hoping to keep as much standin as possible. Little by little we will begin working on it! They are huge and very neat stone buildings!
Bumping this as I have a new but similiar question.
My sister saw this picture and wants me to TRY to get a close as possible to this type of shot with her son's electric guitar.... oh boy! For a surprise for his birthday in June. It's black....
Any ideas on background colors and how bright the room should be, angles of the guitar......and oh...anything here. I'm hoping to go there on Saturday - which is tomorrow my time..... as he will be gone all day. I shouldn't have showed her it....This picture sort of turned out by pure luck to tell you the truth! LOL.....

Ohhhhhh I should stop assuming....second time today it has happened!:(
I meant the picture of the Sax above...my sister likes how it looks... and wants me to try and do someting similiar with her son's guitar.
Does that make sense??? His guitar is Black - so I'm not sure what would be a good backdrop color, if I should use Aperature Priority, my flash??? I know I can take tons of pictures and change settings...I'm just looking for a starting point.
