I am with our freind the 'eeesh' girl Peter, #1 is terrific.
I think the arch of the building keeps your eye in the frame and the way that curve runs against the sweeping curve of the stairs is terriific and leaves me wondering ooh what is up there.
The other 2 seem more sort of hemmed in... if I'm making any sense by that.

what is your equipment?

I know this spot Peter, and I'm happy to meet up there. Mary and Katy can meet us there too! Wouldn't that be fun? How about someone organises some CiC travel? Steve can come too and I'll take him to the nearby English pub called The Dickens Tavern after I've had my cup of tea. I'm not a beer drinker (I prefer cider) so I can't tell you too much about what's on tap but I know they have Newcastle Brown Ale - will that satisfy your thirst Steve?

I'm in the mood for a CiC excursion - wouldn't that be fun? And I'm kicking myself for not bringing my camera with me to work today because there is a really thick fog over the lake! Really moody. Don't mind me, I'm just waffling.

It's a great place I somehow thought you would have found it.

CiC travel - where do you want to go? My friend and fellow photographer Robert Norman and I have just set up a business doing tag-along tours to the Victorian High Country, Great Ocean Rd and Flinders Ranges - not suggesting you use these services but the idea of photography travel appeals to me greatly.When Steph and I travel we need to discuss beforehand whether it is a photographic expedition or a trip where I am allowed to take photos - normally the latter. I was going to try an arrange a photography trip for a small groupback to Ecuador because I loved it so much on my recent trip. A bit ambitious I know but you have to start somewhere.

A funny story - Robert and I settled on a name 4 WD Exposure for our new venture andwhen I asked my partner what she thought of it she replied "sounds like a porn mag" - no support from that quarter.
Let's find a place and see if anyone is interested.

A lot of potential in this building Peter, To bad you could'nt get a shot of the stairs looking down with a Widey , Worth a thought :)

I thought about that when I was there but the ground floor ceiling is pretty close to the staircase and does not give you much to work with and restricts you view to the rest of the shop. If the view opened into the rest of the lower floor I am sure it would work. Thanks for your thoughts and I will have a closer look next time I have a coffee. Best not to assume but walk the distance and have a proper look.

Well its no. 3 for me . I like the "dramatic"shot of the stair best. It looks like an excellent place for wedding photos and I am sure your friend has great wedding shots from there.Thanks for sharing :)

Peter - I looked at your website and I'd like to do the Mount Bulla trip but it coincides with a friend's 40th birthday and we've promised to take him out for dinner (mind you, he lives in Melbourne). Maybe I'll do the March one. I would like to to do the Great Ocean Road. I'll be keeping an eye on your trips. I will definitely do one of them.
