That's a very nice picture.
Every image uploaded to the site is automatically sized at 700px on the longest side. So anything larger that you upload will be automatically re-sized. I find it acceptable to upload at 1024px and allow the site to re-size. That means when the image is right-clicked to open it in the lightbox, we see a larger version.

I forgot how peaceful it was in the early morning hours so when I woke up at 4am one day in early May, I knew I had to get back out there - yes 09/2009 was the last time I took sunrise pictures.... well it was worth the cold this May morning because the cloudy sunrise was awesome!

Mine too! I think it's crazy too though LOL, but worth the view...even if I'm not happy with any of the pictures I've taken! It's the most peaceful and beautiful time of the day/night!
This is from Bolsa Chica State Beach, California.

This picture was taken as three bracketed exposures and processed in Photomatix to produce an HDR tonemapped JPEG image. From there into Photoshop to merge back into the original RAW images to recover the foliage and tone down the sky and water reflections. It was shot at the Anne Springs Close Greenway in Fort mill, SC at Haigler Lake just after the sun went below the horizon.

Twilight Time
There are so many beautiful photos on this thread. I'd hate to have to pick the best !
This shot was taken a few minutes before the previous one and is zoomed in from 18mm to 28mm. Not to be misleading, but because of the lead-in lines created by the trees reflecting in the lake, the previous image was horizontally inverted.

Some really great examples so far! This is one that I took a few years ago in the TRNC (Northern Cyprus) on a Fuji P&S before I had even a passing interest in photography.

Nicola and Charlie, your last submissions are absolutely stunning! :D
@ Charlie - It's just a shame you've cropped off the top of the mountains in the top left, otherwise I love it!
