    I need help from ScotsMen

    dear all
I'm renaming my pictures of the last-year holiday in Scotland, in order to remember where I captured them and the name of the subject of the pictures...
But my poor memory can't help me about the one below:
I think it is a view from A828, somewhere between Ballaculish and Oban... does anyone know where is this fortress more exactly and which is its name?

many many many thanks for the help

    just for chatting
remembering this travel, last monday I bought and drunk a Broughton Black Douglas
    I really enjoied it!
I'm not an expert about beers, what's your opinion about this beer?
when I was there in Scotland I haven't found many different kinds of beers in the pubs, there was only 4 or 5 kind of beer and some of them are the more common as Guinness or Bud. For sure I've not visited many pubs, just 4 or 5, did I find the wrong ones? or if I would asked directly some other beers, I probably would have found them?

That's Castle Stalker. You're right, it is between Fort William and Oban, near Appin. That's my home turf.

ps - The water in the background is Loch Linnhe

Is that the castle they used in Monty Python and the Holy Grail?

Ah, there's a man who knows his Monty Python. Yes Bill, you're right. Most of the castle scenes were shot at Doune Castle, in the village of Doune which is near Stirling. However, Castle Stalker was used for the final scenes.

Appin, Ballaculish, Loch Linnhe. The very names ignite a fire groin of the most dowdy lowlander. I would almost want to read Stevenson's Kidnapped again but I keep getting visions of Michael Caine skipping through the heather in those ridiculous tartan tru's and his Mary Quant plaid jacket far too camp for a Jacobite. Why do film makers never read books.

I visited Doune (village and castle)
both are beautiful! I think Doune must be more present in the tourists' tours...
