I would love to see some more. Very pretty.
Yes, I like this. Very arabesque, with a sense of mystery.

I certainly like the first one although the dead space at top right is a bit of a distraction. With the second the expression does not work for me. A bit of an Eastwood squint there I must say you are far too considerate with your models. I used bubble wrap on mine...keeps them on their toes.
I am partial to the first one. The color just doesn't work for me... I won't say why as I might get banned from the forums, then I'd have to kill myself.
I'm confused - are you meaning you don't like the colour of the 2nd one?
No no no ... we used to ban folks for not liking my work, but the way it was going, we were going to be down to just me on the site - haven't banned anyone for several minutes now!I won't say why as I might get banned from the forums, then I'd have to kill myself.
I love hearing the nitty gritty of how these shots are achieved. I thought it was just me that dreamed up these Heath-Robinson photography techniques. Thanks Steve,
The 2nd one has the expression of a 10 year old pretending to like the water being sprayed in her face by her older sister (who is only too happy to be spraying it!).
Cheers,
She thinks I am jokingSteve, you are funny.
Basically ... a single octabox to light the subject, and a seperate strobe at 90 deg with a beauty dish & grid firing towards the camera (but flagged so as to not cause flare) to illuminate the water. In theory the light from the 2nd strobe isn't supposed to hit the subject, but I like to add a little rim lighting.
#3 is great!
The light, the colours, the model's face.
I like this one Colin, the expression is much better in that it is more open to interpretation. As Steve already mentioned re the first image the space top right is distracting. Cropping would be too much I think, but would it be possible to rotate it to loose that space and still have a shot. ????
OMG, this is too funny, me critiquing your shots.... Sorry, I will go back to sleep now.

It's the originality of the concept that I think is wonderful. Great mood and atmosphere created.
