    Salut, Thierry.
Nice pictures. They seem very 'clean' images for me. The faces of the boxers are very good in all three. Pictures of martial arts are always nice.

A very good set of pictures. The strength, I believe, is in the quality of the B & W conversion. The third one in particular, is an excellent study of the man in training.

    A change from Equestrian Thierry!
I always know when I see your name that I will like what you have to show us and these are no exception.
The light on their faces in the first 2 is really nice.

Very nicely captured. The third one in particular stands out for me as I think you have the lighting in that one perfectly captured.

Hi Thierry, good shots but they look a bit fresh. Perhaps let them get a sweat up and it will look a bit more like they are training rather than posing. The black and white works.

    Re: Boxing training

Your welcome Thierry. It means they look like they have not trained yet and are not expending any energy. Maybe better to let them train for a while and they will have more facial expressions and a sweat up which will give the photos a more realistic effect. I hope this makes sense.

    Hi Thierry,

    I really like #3.

#1 has a shadow across his face. It looks like a flash might have been on a hotshoe and when the camera was held in the portrait position, the shadows crossed from left to right, However, perhaps there was no flash used and natural light was pretty strong from behind the left side of the photographer.

BTW: my dad was an excellent boxer and was a Navy champion during the early 1930's. I was never a good boxer and preferred wrestling. However, my dad always told me that being in the position of this young boxer (with front leg extended with knee straight and with weight on a straight rear leg), that I was off balance and could neither defend nor attack well from that stance...

    Hi Thierry,

That's a fantastic set of pictures. You have processed your shots really well.. And +1 to those who find third one the best of the lot.
