I was working in LR3 and a message pops up that said the C drive, which contains the LR catalog folder is critically low on space and to empty trash and free up at least 20GB of space.
I go to the C drive and it shows 567GB of free space? What am I missing. Speak slowwwlllllyyyyy in computer speak.

I did empty it. I think it freed up 4 GB. Maybe it was a fluke. I was wondering where you were today and here you are.

If clearing up the recycle bin didn't work try this approach:
Inside Lightroom, go to EDIT > PREFERENCES > FILE HANDLING then go to the last option "camera raw cache settings". Increase your cache size (mine is set to 1.0GB which is 1/2 of my RAM) so my wild guess would be to increase your cache setting by 1/2 your available RAM size. Hope this helps, Lucy.
