    While I am viewing this on my phone, I really like the third shot. The first two pictures look off because the rocks behind the bird are too imposing. The last two would be better if they had better lighting, but I understand you have to take the shot when the opportunity presents itself.

    You held the exposure well on the first two, given the extreme contrast that was present. I agree that, compositionally, they are not so strong because of the large rock behind the bird.

    #3, on the other hand, is a very, very good capture. Even the angle of the rock on which the bird is standing just works for the image.

    And, again, on #4 & #5, getting the exposure right is an achievement. Magnificent, vibrant colour in both of these.
