Orton-ish plus Midnight plus my own fiddley-diddling

I like the midnight action but it goes too soft, and I like the Orton action but it doesn't go far enough...so, I tinkered with a combination of the two and am in the process of building my own orton-ish action but would like some opinions as to how it looks on this image...Pleaseeeeeeeeee.



Just saw an anomoly I have to fix and the effect doesn't transfer as well at 96dpi. But still...? And this one may be a better rendition...frankly, I've looked at both for so long, I can no longer see the forest for the trees.

Just my 2 cents, Chris. I think the Orton effect doesn't come out that well due to the light background. If you have a darker background, probably the effect can be clearly seen. Or maybe it was also the transfer effect that robbed the image to show it here.

I think this one will translate better, but it is still not exactly the texture I am seeking...think I need much more practice in layers before I go much further.
