    Brian,

The thing that is missing for me is a look of largness to the person and the knife. Also the lighting is a little to harsh and the green a little to fake looking (specifically the parts that were washed out in the origional).

Just noticed the face between the legs. I like it but agree the subject and light are just a bit off. Had the subject moved his handsforwad just a bit the shadows would have stretched a little more. Over all nice job.

Haha, yes, the subject was a challenge. It was difficult to make my 11 year old son seem ominous or threatening I kept telling him, you have to stand up tall, like you own the place, like you are going up those stairs to do what you want and there is nothing anyone can do about it! I couldn't quite get the posture I wanted from him...

How dare you insult my green x-files gel! This is exactly the color I was looking for! As far as blowing out some spots on the wall, this was on purpose to highlight the outline and shadows of the knife and the fingers. I was thinking that part worked pretty well?

Thanks for your feedback. If I can talk my son into it, maybe I'll try this image again... or maybe I'll turn it into a self portrait.

The greens do look a little fake but I think this is a cool photo! Besides the face between the legs that don't look so scared lol.

"The guy with the knife is coming!"
"That's ok. I have... A CHAINSAW MUAHAHAHAHAHA. Never bring a knife to a chainsaw fight!!"

Ok just a little carried away. I like it!

    Hi Brian,

I think what you have here is something framed to be a movie poster, except there is no text on it.
You seem to have left space above and below for it.

As a photo, to emphasise the menace, stature of person and knife, you'll need to crop a bit closer.
Unfortunately, that will inevitably affect the aspect ratio, which looks 'right' now.

Great shot; I'd give it 8/10 for achieving the desired effect.

    Cheers,
