Well, first or not, I was in such high company, I didn't think I stood a chance of anything short of placing...to win, my-my. Congrats to all who entered, and thanks to everyone who voted. I'm just all kinds of happy and singularly honored.

I'm home now and PP futzing with some of the new images I shot...hope someday I can repeat this feat...whoohoo! Thanks everyone; I am truly honored. Also, kudos to Rob & Glen..I thought both images were extraordinary.

Congratulations Chris! An image packed with mood and emotion. By far the best you've put up on CiC in my opinion! And Congrats to Glen too! I won't congratulate Rob since he's always hanging out around the top around here ;):D:p

congrats all 3, they are all beautiful shots. Chris, I have been enjoying your posts with the dancers, you capture them so well and showing them in black and white gives them something just a bit whimsical that I don't think they'd have in color..:)

On this forum, I am yet the learner and shall be for some time to come (I hope as long as I can still hold a camera). I see Rob, Colin, Elise, Wendy, Martyn, Peter, Dave, Kay, Donald and of course McQ as well as a bunch of others as the real teachers. Even you have shared so much for me to learn about macro, Andre about landscapes, etc. There is no limitation to what we can pass on to one another. I am a teacher, but what I pass on to my students is what each of you has accomplished in hopes they too shall bridge that gap and carry forth a beautiful art form. It is I who thanks each and every one on this forum for enriching my life, and the lives of my students.
