Some random shots taken at lunchtime

These are some scenes from the Parliamentary triangle in Canberra. There are many tourist attractions here: the National Library, Lake Burley Griffin, the Portrait Gallery, the Hight Court, the National Gallery of Australia, Old Parliament House and the 'new' Parliament House.

I take it you are trying to achieve color accuracy more than a compositional theme? If so, you have captured the color very well.

I found that 1 and 4 were a bit blue when I looked at them closely. By that stage I'd been working on them in CS5 not ACR so I added a warming filter.

    Camellia,

I made the comment only because of the tight cropping you used, especially in the third image where the title of the event is cut off.

I understand what you're saying John and I was conscious of that. Unfortunately the full title wasn't visible. I've cropped the photo to remove the white band of the plastic tent. I thought the headless costumes and the light were interesting. Maybe it needs more context?

    Camellia,

It's a nice image, I would just crop the title. You would still be able to capture all of the gown and only the trousers would be partially shown.

I've cloned out the partially shown words. What do you think now John?

Hi Raylee, I really like #2. The colours and clarity are excellent, as is the light on the sign. I might be tempted to clone out the shadow to the left of Espreso, but that's just nitpicky.
