Nice, but not upto your standards, Naseem.
I think it is a bit over saturated, or its just my screen?
& the leaves are too distracting.

Yes, slightly over processed was my initial thought. It looks a bit like an acrylic painting; unless that was your intention.

But I suspect that there is an excellent photo there; so I would probably start again with the editing. And possibly blur/darken the background a little bit as well.

I would agree, nice shot for sure but the background is to distracting.

    Re: The ZOO

Thank you guys (Sahil, Paul, Geoff) for your criticism. This is what it is all about. The painting like finish
is what I liked in the end. I might try and re-edit to see what I can do. Remember this is a zoo shot through
glass with another 50 people crowding you and trying to take pics at the same time. I will try and reedit.
Can someone tell me the easiest way to blurr the background? I will try and select the background and
apply some Gaussian Blur!!!! some thing Ive never done before. My PS skills remain quite limited.

    Re: The ZOO

Those bright background spots also need toning down a bit so you might have to work with layers and masks. But just going over the appropriate background areas with the Blur Tool (several passes with a reduced opacity) may produce sufficient blur.

It all depends on how the original image appears.

Oh, yes! That, in my opinion, is a striking image.

I was going to say that is better; but on second thoughts - that is excellent!

I have to say I much prefer the second offering as a photograph and like it very much. The first was too unreal for me - sorry

Excellent. Technically superb, in my opinion.

But ... the composition is equally masterful. I think there's just the right amount of space given at the left hand side and just the right amount of the animal showing into the image. Because we're not seeing any more of the body, our attention is totally focused on the detail that we are seeing.
