    Over-saturation?

I'm starting a new thread because I think everyone's finished with the old one. But would someone look at Back from Mexico and tell me whether in your view, those pictures are terribly oversaturated? I looked at them on my work computer today and thought they looked awful, but that monitor has never been calibrated. Would someone just give me an opinion on them? Thanks.

Perhaps the second one just a little, but i think it is more the texture you applied. The others have good saturation and look very good to me. Nice job on all of them.

Elise, they look good to me Some very grabbing shots there. Good work!

I think 1 and 4 float my boat.

Thanks -- I think the problem is my monitor at work -- I think my laptop oversaturates a little, but not that much -- thanks for letting me know.

They look fine on my calibrated monitor. Good shots.

Of course, the real solution to this problem is to give up work...

    Re: Over-saturation?

Elise, they look good at this end.I think the problem could be that there may be what could be construed as a colour cast that is simply caused by the quality of light in combination with those surroundings. It is recognisable as such so it is no detriment to the viewer. I think this could be termed richness rather than over-saturated.

    Re: Over-saturation?

Thanks very much, everyone -- the problem really is my work monitor, where they are definitely oversaturated. Rob, I am 100% with you and am going to my boss tomorrow to tell him I'm setting my retirement date for the end of the next school year . . . let's see, that's 15 months, 11 days, and how many minutes? I can hardly wait.
