What a sky!
John - you and others may disagree, but I wonder if there's enough in the foreground to hold attention.
On the other hand, what if you were to crop so that the line of the water meeting the island is set on the bottom third line, which would turn it into soemthing lime a 3:1 ratio panorama? That gives you, I think, a wonderful seascape with a wonderful harmony of tone. Just an idea!
I agree with Donald. I think it is better cropped. Great picture, except I kind of wish the island had been centered better with a little sea to the left of it, as on the right.
I'm going to disagree. I like the contrast of the blue sky with the colour of the sand.
I was very disappointed with the print of this image. It came out much ndarker than what it is on my computer. Any reason for this?

Hi John,
Mark (from up your way - well from where I am anyway) had the same issue and I cannot remember the name of his post but if he is looking at this he might be able to refer you to it. It makes good reading on this very subject.
In essence it is also covered in this post here.
Thanks for that Peter. I will see if I can find it
John
