Good grief - this is you just messing around? Once you start using it seriously I think you'll be leaving my knowledge far behind!

    Re: GIMP-play

    Original image:
    GIMP-play
(the background is one of the sides of our barn in our backyard) I was trying to capture the light that was making the edges of the palm fronds glow as the sun was getting ready to set.

Second image: sharpening, contrasting, saturation, ...GIMP-play

the final image, which I originally posted in the thread was basically distorting the background using the wave tool, I believe, oh and I think I cropped, and rotated the image as well. Then called it good for now.

Don't worry- I have A Lot to learn still, Like remembering to save certain changes I like before proceeding

    Hi Krisztina,

Glad to see someone who can understand editing from the start. This looks good for just playing around, if you continue to work on editing technique it will soon become natural. I have seen plenty of knowledgeable GIMP users in the forums, Donald included. If you have questions, I don't mind if you PM me, but the best way is to post a thread on the post processing and printing forum.

    Yegor,

You may want to try GIMP again, after installing the Italian help for it. The help is very complete and explains how to use most things, including plugins.

Language not the problem, is simply not so clear the program. But likely it is necessary to return and try something new with GIMP. I use a photoshop and Zoner 12
