    Naked sheep

We will all be like this one day - thinned out.

These were shot on black perspex, lit by studio flash light. I then Draganized them using the Dragan Action in Photoshop to give them some texture and accentuate the detail.

You're not having lamb for supper, are you?

    C&C welcome.

And here is a blow-up of the second one to show the detail...

well here I am wide awake at this unearthly hour in Australia......why?
    I'll tell you why in 1 word......arachnaphobia
now I know the thread title said '' go on show us your spiders'".....but as like a moth to a flame or an eye to one of those guys who just shouldn't leave the house in lycra.......yes you guessed it, I opened the thread, I thought they might just be tiny ones or pretty colours........but no they were the big hairy scary ones!!

so consequently I awoke in a cold sweat positive there was a big white spider with gold stripes...(no idea what that's a metaphor for?) and he was hanging above my face.....and what is worse I was thinking of taking a picture of him!!

So now that I'm awake I may as well get up...and thankfully the world is back on it's axis in CiC land and we have some nice soft fuzzy friendly photos of some sheep

Excellent Rob - however I may still need the medicine cabinet

It's a complex process of adding gaussian blur, sharpening, contrast, hue changes, dodging/burning, exposure control to create a very dramatic gritty, textured look. Distortion is also a key element, either by using the liquify tool in PS, or by using UWA lenses. It was created by a photographer call Andrzej Dragan. If you have Photoshop you can download a free Action that does a very good job of creating the effect. But it does require a lot of choices to be made as to how you process each step. The link for the action download is HERE - you need item #25

http://andrzejdragan.com/ is the website for Dragan. It includes shots of some well-know celebrities such as David Lynch (holding the chicken), and Mads Mikkelsen who played Le Chiffre in Casino Royale. Worth reading Dragan's biography. You need your speakers on for the sound of air being blown across the top of an empty bottle.

have a look at the shots I processed today of Donald Guess who's playing with his new 580 EX II flash ....

I am never sure about this. I think actions can be run from Elements 8 on, but I'm not sure. Anyone else know?. If you google "Photoshop elements actions" you get a lot of info on it.

My wife and I went to Llandaff Cathedral in Cardiff a few days ago. We were talking to a guide, who kindly offered to let us see (but not photograph) the skull cup of St Teilo, a 6thC Welsh saint. His skull was used as a water cup at a fountain. It's now worked into a metal decorative frame. It was in Australia for some time (descendants of the owners), but came back to Wales in 1994.

But maybe school will 'use my services' more this year..... cute kiddies on ponies featured a lot in the end of year magazine.
must have been the 'rim lighting' from the sun on the pony's mane...
