Nice abstract look but the exposure looks off. Was this display poorly lit that you wanted to bring out more detail or were you looking for a more dynamic look?

So, Mycota (or Fungi - Ital.).... Has at first wanted to cover eyes - very brightly and a lot of light! Has then recollected about the similar photo... I was played with colors and as a result it has turned out-

In my opinion, a little darkly. So, there is a chance that your version is quite good! A beautiful photo! A successful shot

Willie or Jiro is fine by me.

    Re: Fungi

Peter, if you edit this image and apply a -0.67EV on the exposure adjustment it will give you a decent exposure. I played with your image and this is what I got.

    Fungi

Looks like a fine subject to me. I'd probably fill the frame more of the fungi and lessen the bark area of the tree. Hope you don't mind if I posted your edited image. Feel free to notify me if this is offensive and I will delete it. Thanks.

Peter, although I like the composition, it seems to my untrained eye that there is something other than over-exposure going on here. I'm not sure what it is - slight camera shake? too much sharpening? - but the bark doesn't look good at all. Sorry....

    Hi Kit and thanks Jiro.

I did process this on my laptop using a second screen at work and looking at it on my home screen you are right - it is overexposued.
