Chris - I take it that this is the new NASA link to the Moon.
David
Yes! I knew I wasn't on my own with the sillies!
I forget how much younger you lot are. David Niven was an actor and comedian in the 1960, maybe survived until 1980; his autobiography is called 'The Moon is a balloon' (usually available from Amnesty bookshop in Malvern for £2+postage, maybe only 67p on ABE):D
Chris,
Question; what was the film title where Mr Niven played a downed pilot in WW2 who then had to face a heavenly court?
Mark, We are veering OT... (although it is still on the subject in thread title)
I think (well, google thinks) "A Matter of Life and Death"
seen here, see third -sixth paragraphs.
Nicely done Chris.
Regards,
Thank you Dave. That thread is photographed from about a mile away, so I would have thought it would be strong enough to stand some pulling about.....but then this morning I saw the balloon had come loose and looks as if it is stuck on a twig and going down
