    Hi Dale,

    Which scheme do you prefer?

I prefer the CinC dark (static) scheme.

hm...I failed to see the difference between the dark static and dark fluid...
    can anybody enlighten me?

on another note, it's easier for me to read white text on black background. I am a SW engineer, and after a while I was getting tired of white background (too bright...like I was sunbathing!). Since I switched to black background, it's way easier on the eyes (even when reading cr***y code... )

    Hi Vincent,

The difference is subtle; Fluid expands to the width of your browser window width, but if you have aleady zoomed in (say to make the words bigger), I think you may not see a difference between them in certain circumstances.

I prefer Dark here too, but I haven't gone as far as having white numbers in a black spreadsheet or in a black text in a Word doc (at work) yet. Hmmm, ponders that ...

    Regards,

If you're using a screen resolution whose width is about 1024 pixels, then you will likely not notice a big difference. However, if you have a really high or low resolution display, the fluid scheme will adjust the forums so that they fill 80% of your monitor's pixel width.

I find it quite difficult to assess a picture over a white background, so I usually end up zoom in to lose as much of that as possible, mostly on other sites, or for attachments that result in just the jpg image viewed on the browsers default white background.
    I do absolutely agree.
I quit Open Photography Forum because they were white with text in brown. Terrible. I asked to change but no.

Like it is here is excellent ! Superb, the best.
However, the best option is DGrin.com where the subscriber can choose the color of the background.
