Now if I did that...The tittering lasted for months when I bared my stomach. Rob shoots himself at the CiC Christmas party photocopying his rear end and its art! I bet you arrange the party balloons with 2 round ones and a long one in the middle too. Not that I have ever done anything like that. Talking of CiC parties keep Donald away from the Ilford Multigrade. 1973 was a good year but I hear the last time he was on that stuff he fell asleep on the train and ending up in Glenfarg....hang on...he's still there

I do like both but the first is beautifully simple and effective. No 2 is a little too much like over zealousness by a 1980's Penthouse airbrusher.

EDIT: English corrected by a Welshman

Y'know, you can always tell quite early on when you're getting in to one of these threads that's just going to get sillier and sillier!

Anyway, did you mean the single malt '73 Multigrade? I was on the blended stuff then and it was much more potent.

Thanks for the laugh on the second one -- I almost spit Coke on my monitor. And Yegor's comment made me laugh, too. Well done.

That makes Donald's dabbling with the darkroom chemicals pale into insignificance

You are right Donald. This is going to get silly. You do realise you can now ban the Welshman for posting irresponsible subject matter

I think since it is not really out of the shell, then it must be more Eggocentric .

Eggsellent photos Rob. I might follow your eggsample and have a go. What poor yolks

Seriously, I like the texture - did you shoot with a high ISO or did you add noise in PP? Was this another shoot with the lights off and one lamp shining on the subject? I'm really going to have to experiment with lighting. I keep putting it off but simple objects - like eggs - may be the perfect practice.

Every student I've ever had (including the eggheads) shoots a store-bought white egg on a black background and on a white background. It is much harder to light than you might think and much harder to shoot as well. Oh, forgot...my students aren't allowed to use meters until they can shoot using benchmarks that rely on ISO and zones of focus....I'm such a meanie.

Are you suggesting I am a stereotypical northerner with nothing better to do than gaze at Page 3 of the Sun over his babbies y'ead and chips?....yeah OK you are right. I can never figure out why anyone would read the Guardian when you can have the Sunday Sport!

Spelling..er no I have always been jealous of Penthouse airbrushers
