    Egret at Lunch

    Canon 50D, EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM @ 70mm, f/4, 1/1500s, ISO 200. Full EXIF, PAD slideshow.

We're flying out tomorrow, so we drove up through the Keys today. We stopped in Islamorada for lunch, and a Great Egret joined us for a bit. My main regret is that I didn't get a little bit higher so that his/her head was completely within the tree line.

    C&C are always welcome.

    Cheers,
    Rick

Thanks Kay....I'm going to take a leaf out of his book when the house is finished and go into a state of relaxation.

Oh, goodness gracious! It's not so much the photo a day. It's the process and post a day - meaning finding something good every day. I'm just enjoying everyone else's photos, though!

Well, look! Now that my parents are gone and birthdays are all celebrated, I am scrambling to catch up with other things - like putting my perennial garden in. (It IS late! I feel like I'm racing the snow.) Anyway, the light was fading and I just grabbed my camera and had no idea what to shoot but, Dave, I looked up and thought of you. The very same moon that you've been looking at is the same moon that's been so beautiful every night for us, too. Amazing!

Well, sorry, not the most amazing photos! I'm getting faster with exposure lock, though!

    my excuse....

    my photo....

I have no idea what instrument he was playing. It sounded weird.

Is it a hammer dulcimer? Have a look at this.

Yes, thats what it is. He was using little 'drumsticks' to play the instrument.
