I really like the last one. The second one is good too. Did you shoot it on a tripod?

The second one was handheld. I was just sitting on a bench reviewing my earlier shots when they stopped and asked for a shot - and I never say 'no' to ladies.

Ha! That reminds me of Brains beer which is brewed in Cardiff. They have a series of ad campaigns and slogans based on a play of the word brains and lateral thinking. Here is one of them.

Thanks, Peter. Where is the church? It looks very squeezed in!

    Re: Amsterdam

I think it was near Wall Street, lower part of Manhattan. It isn't that squeezed in, but from the other street you get this nice view of it between the buildings. Probably the reason I took the shot (I think. This was a long time ago)

It is the Trinity Church on Broadway behind the New York Stock Exchange where Wall Street ends. I used to work at NYSE 6 years and I frequently ate lunch in the cemetery.

I like this shot, despite the fact that there is a lot going on in this shot, my eye keeps going to the woman walking. The image is interesting to me primarily because of the stance of that woman. She is a contrast to the street workers in that she is sharply dressed and is walking with a definite purpose. I also like that she is framed by the white gate post.

I am not sure if I should not have cropped out the "look" painted on the street in the lower left. I have tried it both ways.

Everything in the image seems to lead my eye to the woman. However, perhaps no one else enjoys the energy and motion I see in the image...

    Richard,

By looking at the picture, I can imagine the construction workers giving the woman walking to the street cat calls. I like it the way it is.

I just love the posture of the urban Chinese famales as they walk...
