    Re: The Daily Grind

I will not be posting for the next 3 days. I will be leaving the daily grind behind as I head off to the Little Desert in Western Victoria. Hopefully there will be plenty of wildflower out, some good sunsets and lots of nice reds. I will catch up on the posts when I get back.

    Best Wishes Pat

    Pigeon Holes

the point of the last couple of days have been more about experimenting with people and props rather than the final result.
I'm trying to see if I can get people (who are not related to me nor reliant on me for pocket money) to do what I want with posing & props, without resorting to boiled lollies...

Clever, conceptual stuff. My compliments on having the confidence and ability to go 'out-on-the-edge' and put ideas into practice.

    Trinity Inlet, Again

Had to rush today as we are going out for dinner, so I went down to the Inlet, again for another photo. This time with rainbow.

I think you got the exposure bang-on with this. It's an image that makes an impact.

Don't know what editing software you're using. I wonder if a bit of perspective adjustment, to straighten up the RH edge of the building and maybe the top, would help.

The other alternative is to re-shoot it, but move a few paces to the right so that your more 'head-on' to the building than at an angle to the facing glass wall. By doing that you might also geteven more of a sense of depth with that foyer area at the right going further off into the distance (that would also get rid of those streetlights at the left that don't really contrbute).

It was too cold this morning for the tree guys so I took some pictures of soy bean harvesting. I can't tell the story with only one picture unless everybody has seen such harvesting so my apologies for putting in three shots. The first is the machine coming right at me, the second shows it in enough detail to indicate how it works. The last show the incredible amount of dust it makes

    Fun Guy

Another gloomy miserable day. Luckily I found this guy under the most cheerful tree in the garden.

    Old Spanner

Dull with misty low cloud again today. So in desperation, here is something from my work shed.

Not sure where I acquired this adjustable spanner (wrench) but it looks agricultural. The wooden non slip handle is uncommon.

Nice autumn colours, and a very tranquil scene. Good shot.

My kind of image Kay. I really like this idea. The musicians were a bit cryptic for the likes of me. Most of the ensembles that I see playing in the local shopping malls would be correctly matched as seen. (I am Ramones rather than Sergei Vasilievich Rachmaninoff) But this one tells a story although I would have probably taken it a bit further and have them swap clothes although it is nice to see the lads are keeping up the Angus Young look fresh for Australia.

The top of the boxes are a little fussy and it could be fixed by making the inner frame of the box the white border.

    Nice work Kay

Eggistential crisis - a death in the family

My PAD album for October 2010

It must be a medication day today (can't remember). It's funny the things you do when you are bored in Wales. Shot on a new black glass chopping board under strip lights. I really don't know where I get these stupid ideas from - Wirefox probably.

    We are the eggmen...

How's this for some clouds at sunset? Shot last night while my 2 girls were having a "hit and miss" with a tennis ball.
