Luminar - Anyone try it yet?

I am hearing some decent buzz on the new editing program - Luminar

    https://macphun.com/luminar

I know at the moment it is only for MAC (not worth going down that discussion). Seems to have been designed from the ground up for any level of workflow. It is clearly trying to take on the 800 lb Gorilla in the Room of Adobe (PS and LR).

Their team is active on the internet and listening to feedback and they seem to have a pretty good development timeline.

I, probably like most, do not feel like learning a new platform and this certainly does not have the cataloging feature of LR that I really like and need.

Price seems good and may give the Free trail a go and see how it performs.

Nice to see competition in the market.

Well, I might of considered this back when Apple pulled the plug on Aperture. I have since gone the way of the Creative Cloud. Trying this out now: I just don't have the same incentive. Trying out a new platform is one thing. Investing time and effort into this and knowing it might not last, that's a bit too much to take a chance on. The gorilla wins again -- in my book anyway.
