    Milky Way

In the northern hemisphere (or at least the more northerly latitudes) we can't see the spectacular parts of the Milky Way visible from the southern hemisphere. However, the section of the MW through the constellations of Cygnus, Aquila and toward Scutum is probably most striking and now is one of the best time to observe it.

I decided to have a look last night and managed the attached. I really should have gone to a darker site and I must hone my processing skills for this type of photography.

I was lucky enough to catch a meteor too.

    All comments welcomed.

    You are correct, Binnur.

Most of the time I cannot see any foreground details through the viewfinder, or even via live view; but I must try harder.
