Light field Camera - how it works

I found this explanation of how the Light field camera works (Lytro) quite interesting (and more understandable than others).

It is by Image Analyst, Dr Mike Pound (University of Nottingham, England) and runs to 11:59.

Hyper-link to see it over on YouTube, where it enlarges full screen.
Plus the follow up: Industrial Light-field Magic 4:26.

There are several others that may be of interest, in fact 18 (currently) viewable from this list.

Lots of other interesting stuff from Computerphile for the "ex-engineer" members among us

    Cheers, Dave

I thought I was going to see a light-weight field camera such as this one...
