Nice scenes. The last one with that disinterested bird wandering away is a great fun shot that is worthy of a suitable caption.
The last one is particularly special in my mind because of the depth of field and the impression that the bird seems to be looking to its left to ensure that nothing is approaching from that direction before stepping onto the next board. It's almost as a person would look to the left before crossing the road. The image would also work well as a monochrome.
In the second image it looks like the ducks are water skiing

Good work, Gary. I'm curious to know if you can identify the bird in your 3rd photo. My assumption is that it is some sort of wading bird. What confuses me is that its bill looks that that of a duck, but it lacks webbed feet.
Thanks for that Donald, hope to get it right this time.
I am open to suggestions on a title Geoff.
This is literally the first time I have changed an image to monochrome, I followed a PS tutorial to get this result.
The picture of the 3 ducks is a bit out of focus, due to I was photographing ( and inexperience) other scene and then these three ducks were coming into land on the pond, so I turned the camera and managed to get two shots off. It was pure luck I got the three landing at the same time.
The third image is a young adult Moorhen.

Sorry Donald I got it wrong again.
Nice series
Excellent shots!!!Really enjoyed watching them
Very nice monochrome, as you maintained all the detail in the feathers that exists in the color version. It's so nice that I'd like to see it in a larger version. Indeed, all of these are too small for my taste.
IMO the B&W version works better than the color one
Yes, they are larger, thanks
