    Tinseltown Australia

We have had visitors staying with us so we took them down to the Gold Coast. A surf by day.

And a chance to try a bit of night photography.
    Tinseltown Australia

There was a theme park adjacent to our hotel It had a sling shot and a rotating wheel thing.

I couldn't get the colours to look right. Even harder when you are trying to hang on to your dinner.

Excellent shots; I really like how you composed the footprint and included that shell within the frame; actually from an artistic point of view that is the best of the lot.By the way, the first image needs a bit brightening

Good clarity in the night scenes, particularly the first of them.

+1 to Nandakumar's comment on the first shot. It does look a bit muddy. Love the clarity, crispness and colour of the night shots.

Thanks Nandakumar, the footprint shot was my favourite. I think the 'auto dimming' on my monitor is on the blink. How does this look?

The marvel of modern IS, all photos were hand held (I left the tripod at home) and I was very pleased with the results.

Doubtless, the gloom has gone and now it is a pleasant scene; actually it is just two versions

Nice work, Richard, but I agree with Nanda, the 2nd shot is the standout here.
