Everyone has their own style. I must admit I prefer natural lighting. I may not have quite as sharp a shot or as deep a DOF but I like the look

Nice, you can go for a natural look with flash just lessen the intensity. I get the same effect in midday sunlight where the highlights can just get out of control, not something I like to deal with but manageable.

This was shot about midday, direct sunlight. But I handle sunlight better than a flash
