No. I seem to remember buying one a long time ago for potential use in my makeshift studio. Other than that, I don't have an interest in making bubbles myself.

There is no doubt that if I had been in that situation I would have attempted a shot, but I don't know whether I'd have managed to capture everything "just so". I also don't know whether you cropped this from a wider shot but the distribution of subjects and the fact that they correspond so well to the ratio you have chosen is very obvious. It cetainly provides a sense of professionalism to the image. I note the scene is also very straight and unaffected by focal length distortion.
In short, well done.

Thanks, Steve! I made about 30 photos of the scene from various angles and with various people in the image. This one is the only keeper. In the end, the three characteristics that made this image so much better than the others are the intense color defining the edges of the bubbles, the simplicity of just one child chasing them, the position within the frame of the bubbles, and the two photographers adding a touch of information about the scene without being a distraction to the viewer's eye. In other words, I got very lucky!
