Does anyone have the new Sigma...

...17-50mm F2.8 EX DC OS HSM? If so, what are your thoughts on the lens? I am particularly interested in the Canon mount version. The lens has a good review at PhotoZone, but the images I am seeing online so far are nothing special.

The lack of FTM focusing and a distance window is a let down, but I am still very interested in the lens for my 40/50D cams.

Any early buyers out there? :)

I have the Macro version of this lens in Olympus Four Thirds mount and I love it. Build quality is excellent, so is sharpness, color rendition and distortion - only a very slight pincushion at 18mm which quickly disappears beyond 18 and stopping down to f5.6/8. I happily put it up against my equivalent Olympus lenses.
