Old house and Barn; Summer Storm

Further to this thread Sunset Barn and Sky.

At the same abandoned farm is this old house. The barn is the same one as in the prior thread. This was taken quite a bit before the two prior images a I waited for the sun to break through the clouds to the west and give me a dramatic brightly lit foreground against the dark storm clouds. Never happened.

Not all was lost as the sky was dramatic enough as it was. i decided to keep it a bit dark in processing as I like the sombre mood. But I am open to any suggestions or comments.

As i replied to Mike in the first thread. This location only gets light on the front for a few weeks around the solstice as it is tucked into a small bay in the aspen forest. I suspect it was built by druid farmers to conduct esoteric rites at the solstice when the sun enters the windows.

It sure was! That sky looks so menacing that it seems like the next strong wind about to happen very soon will blow down the old buildings. Great job of allowing the land, sky and buildings to complement each other.
