It's PRIZE competition time!!! - "Inspired by Photoshop"

Here's what you need to do.

1. Think of a piece of Photoshop terminology, eg; - curves, wand, select, layer, RAW (that should be an interesting one), clone, etc. I'll take products other than Photoshop provided you explain what the term is/does. You may enter a word shot that has already been used by someone else (yours is better isn't it!)

2. Take a shot that embodies that word. Edit it and post it to this thread as an entry. Give it a title which is just the word/phrase you have chosen. You may enter as many as you want, but one image per post please.

3. On September 1st I will judge entries and select a winner. My decision is final. Trust me, I'm a fair-minded, liberal, Guardian reading, left-of-centre, kind person!

The prize? An A3 high-quality print of any shot from my website or Flickr account. How vain is that. :) Posted to your door.

I'll send the best entries to Adobe, and they will pay us $10,000 for using them.

I might have lied about that last bit.

these are old shots that I could put a name to. Main priority for shooting right now is to get a portrait for Colin's lesson, when that is done, I can try to get some new ones specifically for this exercise. (Maybe)

Of course, the real test is when we start inventing Photoshop terms that Adobe haven't dreamt up yet...:) Like the 'grunge' tool, or 'bake', for over-cooked shots.

Lovely shot! Did you use the Orton method? Great texture and colour to it. I can see it's going to be hard to decide a winner here.

Absolutely... I first edited the image in DPP (Digital Photo Professional) for some minor corrections and then I applied an Orton effect. Thanks for your comment Rob !
