If you like the Art Nouveau nor Jugendstil in architecture, then Riga, Latvia should be on your list of places to visit. Around 40% of the downtown uses this style that comes from the late 19th and early 20th century.
Photographing the whole buildings would be difficult (I tried), but close up capture of some of the decorative elements works reasonably well.

7. Attempt to show a whole building - the narrow streets and tall buildings conspire to make this an impossible task. Shot with at a 14mm focal length on a FF body. This is as wide a rectilinear lens as I own.
