Photo Competition for August 2010
Rules of Engagement:
1. Image must have been taken this month (August) (or thereabouts) eg if you took a shot towards the end of last month, but didn't have time to enter it in last month's competition, then that's fine :) (I just want to encourage people to "get out and get shooting", and not to just submit historic work).
2. Enter as many images as you like, but only 1 per post please :)
3. No theme
4. Please change the title of your post to reflect your image name (it makes it much easier for people to refer to your image that way :)) (To change your post title you'll need to click on the "Advanced" button).

Zack
I was searching for this thread and when I came back you had removed the original.
Dave usually comes in in situations like this and will place your image inline.
For the future - I don't know if your trying to post in from a hosting site (e.g. Flickr), or directly into C in C. But have you read the thread to which I've given the link. If that doesn't help, do come back in and say so.

Beautiful shot BTW.
Re: Christiansted Harbor, USVI
Jim,
Thanks for the welcome. So, do you dive when your here on the rock? I started taking pictures underwater and recently got the bug to shoot our orchid collection and some sites around the island. I'm slowly learning what not to do, but sometimes you just have to go for it like UW shots and hope for the best. Someday I'll get over it, but I'm having fun. I must say that this site is wonderful, from the members being willing to help and their stunning images. As soon as I get more images edited to Dave's recipe I'll post more.
Thanks, GT
Re: Christiansted Harbor, USVI
GT,
Haven't ever scuba dived, but I snorkle and love to fish.I always charter a boat a couple of days when there.I would love to see some of your underwater photos and keep shooting landscapes,it's a beautiful island.

Re: Christiansted Harbor, USVI
Jim,
Cool, I was in the "fishing biz" for 25 years, then I thought it was time to move out of NJ and ended up here, not getting any colder than 68 degrees is a wonderful thing. I will post many UW images, most are from North Star, Twin Palms, Cane bay, Salt River and Christiansted reef, all on the north shore.
Until, GT
Re: Christiansted Harbor, USVI
Jim,
I started a new thread for UW and posted an image there, I don't want fill up the competition thread with too many images that don't apply.
