Back in the Good Old Days
The Moon, the Stars and the Lone Tree
Here is my entry for this mini competition:
The Moon, the Stars and the Lone Tree
I have taken photos for this lone tree for 3 years. This year (late July) I finally got a chance to take a shot with a full moon over this tree. Some stars were revealed around the moon as well. With the full moon just above the tree, the tree was much brighter than it was in any other night times.

I have been searching for a lone tree to photograph at different times of day and season but without success.
Don't worry, I will not be stealing yours as I live the other side of the world (and don't drive).
If I could produce an image like this I would regard it as justification for the cost of my equipment.
Three years well spent!!

Re: The Moon, the Stars and the Lone Tree
Howard,
Thanks for your comments. It is quite surprising that finding a lone tree that is suitable to be photographed is not so easy. Fortunately this tree is just in my campus. Now this tree has become famous in our university as during the last couple of years I have had several photos of it hung in our exhibition hall.
Regards,
Yan
Re: The Moon, the Stars and the Lone Tree
It seems no one wants to finish this one off, so here is an apple to end this comp.
