I think the foreground is very busy and the subject is not getting enough attention

Looks to me as if the focus point isn't quite right. For me, if you got the focus on the centre of the flower it would make it pop a bit more.

Shoot from a different position, where you can directly focus upon the petals or center of the flower, can help i feel
