Wow. It even looks like coastal England!

This is a nicely composed image. I was just looking at it in Lightbox and wonder if trimming off about 10% or 15% of the sky (just below that large central blue sky) might not result in an even stronger image.

Regardless, I really like this image; well seen, composed and processed. One question though; where is it?

Manfred, this is Whitby in Yorkshire. I take your point about the sky. I'll give it a try. The only objection I have to doing that is that I was rather taken with the lovely patch of blue (the only blue sky that day, an otherwise awful day of weather!).

The photo was taken with my Canon EF-S 17-85mm zoom, which seems to have made a good sharp job of this.

What a great shot for the tourist council to promote tourism. To see this image one would think, I'd like to visit there. And if one lives there they would think, wow, how lucky am I.

I like this shot very much. However, IMO, selectively brightening the boats and quay wall lower image left tends to improve an already very nice image...
