Helpful Posts: A stairwell in an art gallery. I used the high-pass filter in Color Efex Pro, which gave a cleaner, slightly higher-key result. The whitest part is blown-out - an effect that I am OK with, as the detail in that area was not of interest to me.

I prefer the mystery of this shot over #2 (the coloring as well) but like the full tear drop shape present in #2.
Have you tried cropping this one from the left to the point where the angled line from the top meets the curve?
