A very colorful bird. We only see the northern wren in our area, which is a brownish grey version of the species you have photographed. Great dof.

Without checking the bird book we have about 8 Fairy Wrens, all with great color - one is black as the ace of spades with a fire engine red back. Seen it but it was too quick to get a shot away.

Wonderful blue there.
I had to re-check your location, 'cause when I saw it, I thought "That's gotta be an Aussie bird." We were in Australia earier in the year and I just loved the bird life.

Yes we are spoiled for birds down this way. This one comes from Central Australia. I shot this image in Alice Springs.
