Macro shoots, comments please
Re: Macro shoots, comments please
From my experience, 90 mm is ideal for flowers etc but a bit on the small side for live insects in the real world.
The first photo works well.
Because there is so much slightly out of focus in the second one, I would be tempted to crop tighter or really blur the out of focus area.
With the third image, I would like to tone down the bright blue area. Then, I think, you would have a perfect photo.
The fourth works well because you have concentrated on just the head and allowed the surrounding area to become well blurred.
The fifth one is, I'm afraid, an impossible angle; although you have done what you could with it.
All in all, I think your exposure and focusing are good. Those subjects are difficult.

What PP software/techniques do you use?
Love the shots!

Thank you, comments noted.
@stripe
I used LR3 for minor color enhancement and CS5 minor sharpness/noise adjustment

Good shots dnomyar (is that your first name?)
I also took a slideshow look at your Photostream on Flickr too, there's a heck of a lot of very good pictures there.
